When it comes to planning a wedding or special event, there is a of misinformation out there, especially when it comes to ways to negotiate the best prices from local wedding vendors. Since most brides (as well as vendors) are not skilled negotiators, the process often becomes futile for both parties.

I came across a very timely post on the DIY Bride blog. I think it’s a must read for anyone planning a wedding or special event in these tougher economic times. The article (in 2 parts) lays out some simple, common sense guidelines for negotiating the best deals with any wedding vendor.
