Blue hydrangeas have been a very popular wedding flower for the last several years. But a lot of brides are curious as to what other types of flowers you can use to create a blue wedding bouquet.

Although there are not a lot of natural blue flowers, there are several flowers that will not only provide a striking blue color, but will also add a lot of interest to a bridal or attendant’s bouquet.

Besides hydrangea, a blue wedding bouquet can incorporate other focal flowers such as dark blue iris and delphinium. Both flowers are different, rich shades of blue.

If you are looking for blue accent flowers, two of my favorites are blue thistle and veronica.

Without a doubt, the most popular tinted flowers are blue roses, but there are a lot of other flowers that can be tinted various shades of blue that you could use to fashion a blue wedding bouquet as well.

A word of caution – Not all flowers tint well, some are better than others. I would suggest talking to your local florist and get their opinion on which tinted flowers they would recommend using in your bouquet.
