Tablescapes are not a new concept, but rather today’s buzzword for a concept that has been around for years.

Tablescaping allows couples to personalize their reception tables by incorporating items important to them, combining them with eclectic combinations of flowers, candles, and other decorative accents.

And because tablescapes are usually theme or color based, they can be a cost-effective way to decorate lavishly on a smaller budget.

When putting together tablescapes for multiple guest tables, start by using a common element on each table.

Common elements include container type or color, flower type or color, candles, table runners, or mirrors.

Once you settle on a common element, the rest will easily fall into place.

Gerbera Daisy Tablescape

Here is a quick example of a tablescape we did that could be used on a long or round table.

The common element we used was the gerbera daisies, but we also used clear glass vases, which could also be the common element.

As you can see, there is no right or wrong way to design simple tablescapes.

If you need a few larger or more elaborate floral arrangements, have your florist arrange them.
