Last Updated on August 26, 2023

Lookin for inspiration? Here are the latest wedding flower trends you can expect to see this year.

Here’s a short video overview video showcasing the latest wedding flower trends for 2023 and highlighting what you can expect to see in wedding flowers this year.

Notable trends this year include more flowers, less foliage, smaller bouquets, and distinctive blooms, as brides express their uniqueness through the use of flowers.

If you’re planning a wedding, and especially if you planning to do your own wedding flowers, this is a video we think you will really enjoy. Watch and see if you agree.

I trust you came away with some inspiration from these wedding flower trends that you can use for your wedding or special event.

My Takeaways

We’ve been seeing brides contacting us to purchase more unusual blooms, like clematis, jasmine, cosmos, and other types of garden flowers and wildflowers. Many of these DIY brides are also choosing to use more basic flowers like roses, carnations, and other flowers to help offset the cost of the pricier blooms they are choosing.

If you are a DIY bride, this is a cost-effective way to get the look you want at a price that’s affordable.

Another thing we’re also noticing is that when brides are buying basic flowers, they are buying more by the case, rather than by the bunch, as the overall costs for the flowers with shipping included are significantly lower.

Where You Can Find The Flowers You Want

If you plan to do some or all of the flowers yourself, the flowers and supplies showcased in the video can readily be bought online at websites such as FlowerExplosion, BloomsbytheBox, and GlobalRose, as well as from your local florist.

If you want to substitute some affordable silk flowers, you can find an awesome selection online at Nearly Natural or at many craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels or again by ordering them through your local florist.

One additional bit of advice, if I may. When using silk flowers, I always recommend combining them with fresh foliage whenever possible, as it will help to keep your arrangements looking more natural.
