Poinsettia Plant Care Information
Poinsettias (Euphorbia pulcherrima) prefer moderately bright light, but will tolerate low light conditions.
Moderately moist soil is preferred. Water thoroughly when soil surface is dry to the touch, but be sure not to let the plant stand in water.
Ideally, poinsettias prefer moderate temperatures, 60-70F (18-21C)during the daytime, and 60-65F (15-18C) at night. Avoid excessively hot or cold locations.
Because poinsettias are a long-lasting plant, they will benefit from occasional application of fertilizer, used according to the manufacturer's directions.
Bright light and cool night temperatures will help to delay flower bud drop and maintain bright bracht color.
