Blogging Works – How I Learned To Write Effective Content in 20 Minutes or Less

For many brick and mortar businesses (especially florists), blogging is a medium that is under-used, or not used at all.

Probably because they don’t understand how it can help their business in the long term, or how it even works.

In today’s social media age, blogs have become an almost forgotten part of most businesses web marketing tools.

But in my opinion, not having one puts you squarely behind the 8-ball.

Blogging helps level the playing field and lets you play with more established competitors in your industry. It has also provided an additional passive income stream for my flower shop.

If your business needs to reach the right people, build your customer base, grow your brand, and build influence within your industry and community, blogging is one of the best ways to do just that.

But…

The key is getting started

That said, blogging is not for everyone. It’s not an easy road.

It does take a good (and consistent) amount of effort to make it work effectively for your business.

The way I got started was by setting goals for my early blog posts, following a system that was doable for me, and monitoring the results to achieve those goals.

With more than 250 posts on this blog to date, I still follow that same basic formula.
