Over the last several years, hydrangeas have consistently been one the most requested wedding flowers in our shop.
And while most people think of them primarily as a wedding flower, I think it’s time to color outside the lines a little.
They are also a great choice to send for birthdays, anniversaries, or simply for no reason at all.
Thanks to increases in worldwide production, hydrangeas are available year round. What makes them so popular is the showy size of the blooms, which are often 4 to 8 inches in diameter. Colors include blue, white, pink and green.
Another reason people enjoy hydrangeas is because they’re a long-lasting cut flower. They have a vase life of 5 to 10 days, and the flowers are suitable for drying after that.
So if your looking to send flowers that are a little out of the ordinary, I’m certain your favorite flower lover will enjoy receiving either a magnificent potted hydrangea plant or a beautiful hydrangea bouquet. And if you choose to send cut hydrangeas in a gift box, don’t worry.
This short video series shows how quick and easy it is to put together a beautiful hydrangea arrangement. Following the tips in this short video series, you’ll be able to quickly arrange yours like a pro.
